AN AVERAGE of three people in every hundred have a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) in Worcestershire, new figures have revealed. The statistics provided by the West Midlands Health Protection Agency show young people are the most affected in the county and the whole of the region saw a rise in cases in 2009. ORGANISERS of a city appeal to help bring shelter and support to thousands of people affected by the Pakistan floods have praised the generosity of Worcester people.
More than £5,500 has been raised through collections by Rotarians as part of the city’s aid response to the floods which have left nearly a million people in the region homeless.
